WVU reserves a limited number of rooms in our College Park apartment complex for
student veterans. Live with other student veterans and enjoy ease of access
to the Mountainlair and the WVU Veteran and Military Family Support Headquarters.
Student Recreation Center
The WVU Student Recreation Center serves the entire WVU community. All WVU students
have access to the facility and faculty/staff (and their immediate families)
can register to become members.
Financial Aid Support and Services

Student Family Resources
Approximately 4,760 WVU students are parents. Student Family Resources provides aid
to student parents and their families.
WVU Care Team
The WVU CARE Team’s primary goal is to help students, staff and faculty better
assist students who are at-risk. Balancing the need for privacy and autonomy
of the individual and the needs of community safety, the team provides timely
assistance and interventions to best serve the students and WVU community.
WVU Accessibility Services
The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) is dedicated to enhancing the educational
opportunities for students with temporary or permanent disabilities at West
Virginia University and all of its campuses. To ensure access to University
programs, specialists work individually with students to help them achieve

First-Year Trips, Outdoor Recreation Center, Climbing Wall and an Outdoor
Education Center that has a challenge course and zipline tours -perfect for
the academic that loves the outdoors.
The Carruth Center is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment for
all members of the WVU community. The center offers counseling, training and
psychiatric services for students.

The Student Life Division supports West Virginia University’s student-centered learning

WVU Libraries offers valuable resources to fulfill students' academic goals. Whether

WVU Libraries Resource Guide for Student Veterans
A WVU resource guide compiled by the WVU libraries personnel to help WVU student
veterans. The information they have compiled include FAQs about the library,
transitioning to student life, ways to seek employment after graduation, important
contacts on campus and a list of advocates for student veterans.
WVU Online offers four undergraduate, more than 30 graduate programs as well as approximately
600 courses that can be completed without having to come to campus.
